Dinner at Pepper Lunch for free

It is a bit cool now in the night, after having hot and humid weather in the daytime.

In the afternoon, I cleaned my room and exercised the guitar. After that, went out to eat dinner at Pepper Lunch. Having collected 12 stamps on my stamp card, I ate a steak for free. It took maybe half a year or so collecting them.

By the way, it is so quiet that I feel like melting into the darkness. So peaceful I would feel.

Next week begins a 2-week-long testing period.

Lunch at Aoshima ramen

Humid.

Went to eat ramen at lunch. Aoshima ramen, the ramen shop I went, was famous and usually people form a long line in front of it by noon so that I don’t feel like going in. But today, there were only 4 people sitting and waiting inside the shop, so I decided to line up to eat. It was within 10 minutes that I could get seated and ramen was served. It is one of the good points that you stay in the city during the Bon holidays, isn’t it?

My gum bottle being stolen

Humid and uncomfortable.

I had returned to my office from this week and started working there after two weeks being off-site for a performance test in a data center. I’m still in the educational stage, so my main task now is to read training texts and learn how to use our software. Although I have someone to ask for if there was a question, I have to learn it by self-education basically. It seems like a kind of easy task, but that’s very difficult in fact. You know what I mean. It really causes…. Drowsiness.

Before two weeks ago when I was still at my desk and working, I prepared on my desk a large bottle of gum which has sleep-averting effect with strong fresh taste. After I came back from the test Monday, I found the case was gone somewhere. Hmnnn, did anyone steal the bottle? I didn’t have a clue.

Anyway, I managed to go through these two days without the power of gum. But for a moment or two, I had to endure the very strong drowsiness. I think combination of coffee, green tea, carbonated drink and gum (+extra energy drink) might be necessary for someone like me who doesn’t smoke to work in monotonous situation.

For sure, I will have to keep them in my locker like my laptop.

PS. Don’t get me wrong. I’m working earnestly.

Internationality in life, so much here before I knew it

Humid. Uncomfortable weather. Just sitting makes me sweat.

Went to practice badminton in the morning. It was the day before the competition.

Today’s practice was fulled with international people:

-A man who had been Syria to teach badminton and came back recently because of its political instability. He is going to Sri Lanka which is his next assignment place soon.
-A woman who is going to India several month later because her husband had been assigned to work there.
-A girl from UK, who is a niece of the man who often comes to play with us. Her father is Sri Lankan and her mother is Japanese. Maybe she came to her mother’s home town during summer vacation.
-A man who often goes to Thailand for work because he is a jeweler and his company has a factory there.
-A man whose previous company was Korean capital(That’s me)

After the practice, we went to a Korean restaurant and talked about our plan to have a training camp in Thailand. It’s very interesting to be surrounded by such international atmosphere and just to listen to their story. I didn’t have time to speak them individually, but I really would like to.
